Rest

Kait and I arrived at our friend Suzanne’s cabin on Spirit Lake, Idaho. 4 days into this trip, and we’re already taking a rest day. Kait needs the break; she graduated from St. Olaf College the day before we began the bike ride, and graduating means packing up your earthly belongings and saying goodbye to your good friends.

Rest is good. Rest offers us the opportunity to talk about all that’s happened. And resting at the cabin allows us to make a pot full of coffee in a coffee machine, and take the Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia out of the fridge, and put a dollop in the coffee to create a crazy good cherry and chocolate coffee beverage.

Good company, good coffee, good rest.
